This type of road biking is all down to speeding down a tricky terrain. It can be done on mountain, using the natural slope of the land, and city, using all kinds of urban elements such as stairs, ramps or parks designed for these bikes.
The bikes used for this mode are very specific and are not practical for more. They have a heavy and very sturdy box, ready to receive blows without cracking much, much longer than normal with very small rotation angle fork, rear shock, very wide wheels (2.2, 2.4, 2, 6 ...) and great tacos and low gear ratios: one or two small plates and cassette sprockets more or less numerous. Prima acceleration speed because you gives the ground. The handle is very long and double height and seat always very low and flipped.

The pilot is well protected because falls can be serious. Used comprehensive protection: full-face helmet, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, protective column, etc ...

Enduro

This type of road cycling through mountains is the toughest places and at high speed . Unlike Descent , there are increases in parts of the mountain . There are variations from city to which it is raised and lowered by the most unlikely urban places .Enduro bikes have a lighter frame and maintain good suspension travel and damping (120 to 160mm) . Very wide and studded wheels are used .It's double-height handlebars are quite long . Recently they have been introduced saddles with telescopic stem , in which the pilot can easily place the saddle height to more technical climbs or descents. It is often used comprehensive protection for the pilot, although there are drivers who do without some items
